December Day at the Park

Josh and I took the girls to the doctor a few days ago. It was nothing serious, the doctor just wanted to check their ears and make sure they weren't infected anymore. Al still had an ear infection but she seemed fine.

So on the way home I said we should go to the park.

We were almost home so instead of the usual park we go to (I will post pics from the day before at the other park),we went to one right down the road from our house.
I think this park is BEAUTIFUL!
I got some really great pics there. I love to take pictures outside...

...Even though most of them are of the backs of Josh and the girls!
Sophie would walk two feet and play in the gravel. That is all she wanted to do.
Al had to see what her sister was doing.
I think they liked going to this park better than going to the one with swings and slides!
They felt like such big girls walking around by themselves.
This is my favorite picture of Josh and Al. She was trying to be like daddy.

I love this one a lot too! They were skipping rocks. Sk loves picking up rocks. She had so many in those little bitty hands.
The best part of the whole thing was when we got there and got the girls out, the started chasing a dog that two ladies were walking.
Poor babies love doggies. They both started saying "Dog, dog". I wish we could get them dog. Hopefully one day we will.
You see who the leader is, ha ha! Al is pretty much always in charge!
We tried for a sit down pic with daddy but they didn't want to sit!!
They cooperated a little better with mommy because we sat on a swing. They love to swing!

We had so much fun at this park. We have even been back since then and plan to make this a regular thing!

Santa Claus

Today we took the girls to sit on Santa's lap. I felt like there were many factors going against us. One their age. They are at the age where the don't like most people, you know stranger danger. Ha! Two Sk wasn't feeling the best today. So she was tired and cranky. Three they don't like to be held and they don't like to sit in their stroller. Al was really great about holding Josh's hand but Sk fought me and stopped and pitched "mini" fits. We had to walk through Dillard's to get to Santa. Luckily once we got in line they were well behaved. The guy that was in front of us let us go first! He was too kind. I love that there are still people that have the Christmas spirit!!!

This was last year, well obviously... They weren't smiling but they didn't mind sitting in Santa's lap. They both have their tongues out. Ha!

This year was another story. They weren't having it!!! Poor 'ole St. Nick!!!

I am so happy to have this memory!!!

Christmas Night 2010

After we finished opening presents from Santa at our house we loaded up the car and headed to Nanny's house. While we were on our way it started snowing!! So the girls first Christmas was a white Christmas.

So when we finally got there the ground was covered in a blanket of snow and it was still snowing.
I was so excited the girls first Christmas was a white one.
We decided we must get pictures in the snow.
Josh's mom (Nanny) went outside with us and took several pictures of all 4 of us.
That makes these pictures that much more special. I sure do miss her.

I really hope it snows sometime this year so the girls can play in it. Last year they were too little.

 Mema, G and Sk.
Auntie Kk and Al (I think). From this angle and with a hat they could pass for identical haha!

We had such an awesome first Christmas last year! I am so glad Nanny was still here with us then. We all miss her so much! I wish I would have gotten some pics of her and the girls at Christmas.

Twas The Night Before Christmas 2010/Christmas Morning

I have so many sweet pictures from our Christmas last year. This next post is pictures from Christmas Eve and the girls opening presents on Christmas day.

We sat here while Josh read "Twas The Night Before Christmas" to us.
Our tree after Santa visited us with presents...

 ...and filled our stockings!!

We woke the girls up early that morning because we needed to get on the road to Josh's mom's house.
They were not to thrilled to get woken up that early.

We had such an awesome first Christmas morning with our girls. I am getting excited for their second Christmas!!
